These beans are ONLY intended for seasoning a new drum roaster. These are not for consumption. Instead, consider adding them to your home compost or coffee-loving plants.
Congratulations on your new drum coffee roaster! One step not to be skipped is the seasoning of that new drum. This is typically done by roasting 3 or 5 full batches off coffee up to a very dark roast level. This process “seasons” the drum with coffee bean oils, priming the roaster with a nice foundation to build upon. Our green bean seasoning blend comes in a 5-pound bag and is comprised of old stock, either Rwanda Rusiga or Ethiopean Yirgacheffe. When shipping, it will be dealer’s choice, but if you have a preference, drop us a note and we will send what you request!
